The solution is used to handle the sale and purchase of energy on the spot market. Based on the obligations and the open position the energy company has, a bid form is generated and sent to the Nord Pool spot market.
“It is possible to generate bid forms for all price areas in the Nordic countries. Another advantage is that energy companies can submit partial bids for different price areas in one solution,” says Powel Product Officer, Birger Morland.
Frees up time for data analyses and replanning
The planning and bidding tasks are presented in one common work area in Powel Nimbus. This makes information exchange between production planners and traders more efficient.
“This process-based user interface causes users to spend less time for the day ahead bidding process, which in turn frees up time for data analyses and replanning in case of unexpected events,” adds Morland.
Powel Day Ahead Bidding helps you to divide the whole prespot procedure into several smaller processes so that employees responsible for consumption prognoses can get on with their job whilst production planners get on with theirs.
Customers across the Nordic countries
These processes are then combined into a common work area, meaning you never lose sight of the bigger picture.
“Work processes can be performed in parallel, thus saving all parties lots of time,” says Morland.
Powel has customers across the Nordic countries on Powel Day Ahead Bidding which is closely integrated with Powel’s portfolio in production planning, trading and imbalance settlement.
