“The solution gives both network owners and installers simple, secure and user-friendly electronic case handling with an overview of all messages. Messages can be sorted, filtered and all history and attachments are gathered in one place,” says Thøger Amundsen, product owner for Elsmart at Powel.
Many grid companies have chosen to outsource work to external installers involving, for example, changing electricity meters, installing service lines or controlling customer points. In order to start working, installers have to receive a work order from the grid company. They receive the work order via the Elsmart AO app (work order application) out in the field and this also ensures that the installers are subsequently paid for their work.
The app is also used to document completed work. This is achieved through pictures and digital checklists in Elsmart Nettmelding. Previously, the work was registered on paper and then entered digitally.
“Nettmelding both streamlines the work and increases the accuracy of the work conducted out in the field,” says Amundsen.
Elsmart Nettmelding forms are based on a national standard for how prior notifications and completion reports should look and have been prepared in collaboration with the EBL (electrical industry’s national association) and several leading grid companies.
Additional functionality in Elsmart Nettmelding:
Full overview of work orders out in the field.
Accurate positioning of installations in a map.
All information is automatically updated in the system.
Option to report installations on multiple metering systems simultaneously.
Installers are able to register and maintain information about their own construction current cabinets.
Elsmart Nettmelding is integrated with the Norwegian Mapping Authority’s GAB information (land register). This is verified data from the Norwegian Mapping Authority.
