“It will be incredibly exciting to work for an innovative company with so many talented employees. I also find it tremendously motivating that it is a Norwegian company with big growth ambitions,” says Thomas Kjetland.
Familiar with the market
He has previously worked as Sales Manager at Leica Geosystems, who cooperate closely with Powel. The two firms share many customers and sell solutions to the building and construction industry.
“Thomas has extensive sales experience and in-depth knowledge of the market that we operate. He will be an important addition to our management team, and I’m confident that Thomas will contribute to further growth in Construction,” says Frode Solem, CEO of Powel Construction.
“With Thomas on the team, we are especially looking forward to introducing new services in the field of communications with machine control systems and surveying equipment, as well as new solutions and services in terms of production follow-up.”
Powel Construction is a market-leading provider of the 3D tool Gemini Terrain, used in most infrastructure projects in Norway. The company delivers a range of other digital services. The advanced models are used in all phases of the project, from planning and design to follow-up and work documentation. The software solution has been on the market for over 30 years and has contributed to developing the industry standard for mass calculation and documentation.
Joining the Volue Group
Kjetland is responsible for six experienced sales professionals in Construction, and he took up his post on 1 September.
“I have an inclusive leadership style and am passionate about ensuring that every member of staff is happy and is developing in their role. It’s going to be exciting to influence and further develop the way we drive sales at Power Construction,” he says.
Powel is part of the Volue Group, including the companies Powel, Wattsight, Scanmatics, and Markedskraft. The international technology conglomerate offers market-leading solutions to the energy, infrastructure, and municipal sectors.
“Volue’s ambitions for Powel and its other companies are inspiring. I am very eager to get started. The first step will be getting better acquainted with the organisation and our customers,” he says.
