This could be anyone from internal utility workers, external contractors or service providers at the office or out in the field.
The Powel iAM Viewer offers map-based, detailed information on the entire grid, all the way down to individual components and connections. This means that you can equip everyone working out in the field with simple, accurate and updated documentation when work is being planned and where decisions are being made.
"The application shows the most important information about the power grid. Emphasis has been on ensuring that the information will be easy to understand and use, through reliable maps and navigation via touchscreens,” says Ola Kjeldset, product owner for AM Viewer at Powel.
Independent of NIS
iAM Viewer supports the largest NIS systems on the market (GeoNIS, NETBAS and OpenNIS) and the maps are based on Esri’s ArcGIS technology. The solution communicates with the ArcGIS server/portal, as well as ArcGIS Online.
"iAM Viewer knows where you are at all times, via GPS, Wi-Fi or telephone data services, meaning users can easily access adjacent and relevant infrastructure,” says Kjeldset.
iAM Viewer also offers a lot of other handy functionality:
Automatic component information when you select a component on the map.
Possibility of seeing how the grid is connected
Compatible with many of the largest grid information systems on the market.
