The field solution supports the maintenance process of grid companies and is seamlessly integrated with NETBAS Maintenance. Field Inspector is used both for preventive maintenance and to document work carried out in connection with improvements of the grid.
“The advantage of Field Inspector is that the information is stored in one system. This saves grid companies a lot of time, provides a better overview of ongoing work and increases the accuracy of documentation work,” says Kaspar Bordal, product owner at Powel.
The registration tool is a web application with a state-of-the art user interface suitable for tablets and mobile phones. This is used by utility workers to register data that documents work in the field.
“The application can also be used to distribute work between installers, either by helping to allocate work to a special installer or through several installers sharing the work. Some grid companies also practice picking orders, meaning that those who are available and in proximity can carry out the work,” explains Bordal.
All orders concerning planned maintenance comes from NETBAS Maintenance. Once the job is completed, the documentation will also be automatically stored there. The solution provides a seamless interaction between administrative systems such as UtilityFlow.
“Field Inspector uses state-of-the art technology and works equally well offline as online. We are very pleased that Ellevio has chosen the solution as they are our largest customer. This means a great deal for the further development of the tool,” concludes Bordal.
