A work order can be created for a case and resource allocated in a planning board.
Completed resource-allocated work orders are sent via the mobile application for implementation in the field.
“The planning board provides an overview of all resources and all unplanned work orders (requirements). Using ‘drag-and-drop’, a requirement can be added to the calendar and thereby allocated to a resource,” says product manager at Powel, Ståle Nilsen.
If you have more resources to allocate, you will have more requirements. Each requirement is then dragged to the desired resource. A requirement is defined with a specific number of hours (depending on the number of hours or days that were defined when the work order was created). A long-term requirement (over 7.5 hours) can be distributed automatically over many days.
“The requirements and the assumed location are shown on a map on the planning board. This makes the solution simple and intuitive to use,” says Nilsen.
