Our experience and expertise in cross-border trading and logistics is embedded in a software solution that is able to operate in most European energy markets and many gas markets out-of-the box, without the need for any configuration. DeltaXE provides the possibility to prepare nominations and schedules in line with different market processes and communication rules, then send the information directly to the TSOs. Communication responses are processed automatically and presented in the intuitive user cockpit.

Powerful communication and interface tools include a Service Bus and a BPM (Business Process Management) process engine. All incoming and outgoing formats can be converted into any other format in the integrated Oracle Service Bus and conversion rules can easily be configured and stored in the Service Bus. DeltaXE works internally with the same format used for representation of internal data objects. This allows for conversion of any XML format into any other XML format, or directly into an EDIFACT format.

DeltaXE provides the functionality needed for most trading companies and can be easily interfaced to most of the big ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) systems. It supports all types of data (XML, EDIFACT, CSV, XLS, etc.) and communication channels (APIs, WebServices, Queuing, E-Mail, FTP, sFTP, File/folder, AS2, etc.). The interfaces are highly configurable. When entering a deal or any changes in the ETRM, the details are automatically pushed to DeltaXE without user interaction. Alternatively, DeltaXE is able to read data from a query or via API. When importing data in DeltaXE, the system provides automatic validation. Validation is based on configurable business rules. Data is simultaneously interpreted and enriched. For example, the feeder ETRM system often does not know balances or balance groups, nor capacity types, capacity IDs, gas days, etc. In this case, the data conversion and a functional conversion (mapping) take place in the DeltaXE Service Bus.  All incoming and outgoing messages are logged in the DeltaXE Communication overview.

Automatic synchronisation for nomination and scheduling

Thanks to high performance, a large amount of data is not an obstacle. The trading systems are able to generate schedule positions for standardised markets like Germany, but not for UK or the eastern European markets with special border capacity rules. The trading system often lacks the required master data to prepare the scheduled positions correctly, such as balance groups or the handling of sub balance groups. The main argument for the deal exchange is traceability. Particularly in Intraday, when you need to act fast, you can find a defective deal through our intuitive scheduling cockpit, where all responses are validated automatically and any mismatches are reported immediately. The defective position is identified, so you can drill down into the configurable positions overview (for example a control area overview with a partner aggregation) to correct the defective deal. Based on the contracts, you can configure position overviews through the Filter and Calculation modules. These are used, for example, in daily business to manage the control area balance. Navigating down leads to the lower levels and finally to the contracts.

The creation and dispatch of nominations can be fully automated including the import of responses, validations and display of the nomination status of sent nominations, as well as single positions and possible differences in position level. If desired, the transparency messages (to the EEX platform) can be completely automated as well. This permits the trader to concentrate fully on the tasks that are most important, and only act manually in the event of a discrepancy (incoming ANO, or a control area is red).

In addition to CONTRL and APERAK, DeltaXE also supports NOMINT, NOMRES, REQEST, REQRES, PRODOC, PROCON, ALOCAT, IMBNOT etc. in the gas environment and TPS, ACK, ANO, ICNF, CNF, PPS, APS, RPS etc. in the power environment. Further messages can be added by configuration.

The scheduling cockpit provides a tabular dashboard where all contract attributes, schedules and information about the validated response messages are made visible. Navigating down the hierarchy leads to the schedule positions and makes visible - if available - in which quarter of an hour there was a difference. It is possible to define supplementary alarm rules for additional control. For example, sending a system-generated email if the TSO does not confirm with an ACK within five minutes.

All responses from the TSOs, auction offices, power plant operators, and other partners are automatically imported, validated, assigned and displayed in colour coding in our scheduling cockpit together with the sent nominations and the differences, without any manual interaction. It is also possible to define validation rules for the import.
