In a joint Norwegian and Croatian project it is developed a unique power market simulator model (MaSi). The model is a user friendly software tool for bidding, price calculations, load flow and area pricing as well. The University in Zagreb (FER), Croatian Market Operator (HROTE) and HEP uses the model in their education of students and power industry employees regarding the upcoming power market in the region.

The model is flexible regarding number of players as well as number of areas and it is possible to bid as producer as well as consumer – and in different areas. It is possible to set up MaSi as a game were all bidders (players) are ranked based on their economical “result” from playing in the day ahead market.
The picture shows teaching of teachers from Croatia. The coming teachers are Ivan Andročec (HEP), Davor Bošnjak (FER) and Snježana Blagajac (HROTE). And the instructor is Birger Morland from Powel.
