The Powel software solution includes a product named Powel ELIN that automatically collect meter data from virtually any utility meter or sub-meter, by using open protocols from more than 30 different meters. New protocols can be developed quickly, since the system is built in an architecture prepared for flexibility and expansion regarding metering technology and new services added into the meters. Communication could be PSTN, radio, GSM, GPRS, PLC or other technologies. The infrastructure can be point to point or mesh network as well. Powel ELIN easily interfaces with Powel MDMS or third party meter data management solutions for further processing and storage.
