1. Generation Management

Knut Hornnes (Ph D)
Product Manager for Powel's long-term power system optimization and simulation models, Hornnes has extensive experience both as a research scientist and as a product developer within short- and long-term power system optimization and simulation. His specialty is in the application of optimization methods to perform large-scale simulations of (e.g.) the total Nordic power system in a free market context. A combined market and load-flow power system simulator was developed as part of his Ph.D study. With his skills, expertise and experience, he is highly recognized in the Norwegian utility industry as a scientist, consultant, solution architect and project manager.

Andreas Sylte (M Sc)
Product Manager for Powel's short-term production planning modules, Sylte is an experienced specialist in hydropower systems, with focus on short-term power generation optimization, trading in physical markets and risk management. A preferred consultant to the utility industry, he is a valuable contributor to the Powel ICC system for hydro generation simulation and optimization.

2. Utility Management

Morten Husom (M Sc) 
Husom has broad work experience as a specialized consultant to power distribution utilities, as a research scientist and as a manager of a dispatch control center. His recent experience relates mainly to management of NetBas implementation projects, where his specialty is data conversion, data capture and data models. He also managed a project to develop a prototype for voltage stability control in transmission grids, developed for an American client. Husom is a lecturer to foreign students at the university (NTNU) in network analyses.

Kjersti L. Ruud (M Sc)
As Product Manager of Powel NetBas, Ruud has expertise and experience from serving the utility industry, both as a consultant and as project manager for software implementation projects. She holds a masters degree in Geography, specialized in Geographical Information Systems (GIS).

3. Trade and Metering Management

Arne Ljones (M Sc)
Ljones is Product Manager for the MDMS and TMS-Web systems. He has expertise and extensive experience in serving the utility industry both as a consultant and as a project manager for software projects.

Øivind Husby (M SC)
Product Manager for the Trade systems in Powel, Husby is a valuable consultant in the process of developing EDI solutions for utilities and has expertise in power market operation. Husby is experienced in customizing and developing software for the power market.
