We continuously invest in competence and personal development at several levels. The most important skills development is achieved through on-the-job training, where our employee’s work methods and specialized knowledge can be improved. We monitor personal development by a system called balanced scorecard.

Crucial to learning at Powel, we introduce short- and long-term training activities based on our employee’s own motivation and engagement. We discuss and coordinate training and developing activities with the individual’s personal career plans and Powel’s needs. Through our "Learning by Working" concept, new colleagues are given challenges and sufficient training to perform up to a standard of excellence within a short time period after joining Powel.

Of the Group’s 159 employees, 23% are women and 77% men, while 29% of new 2003 appointments were women and 71% were men.
Social activities
We support initiatives promoting physical activity, social gatherings and affinity. At Powel, many of our employees participate in athletic activities, such as aerobics, soccer, handball, hunting, and fishing. We also have free access to a sports gym for weightlifting and other sports training.
Wages
Our wages are competitive compared with other IT companies. Wages are based on individual performance. Criteria for determining each employee’s wage include effort, professional capability, initiative, flexibility, ability to transfer skills and develop colleagues, loyalty and willingness to work toward and achieve our objectives.
Compensation is evaluated annually. Regulations are asserted July 1. Bonuses are set as an incentive for exceptional effort. They help improve efficiency and contribute to stronger good profit margins.
We see co-ownership as a positive factor of motivation. Employees will be given the opportunity to take part in share or stock option programs. Our retirement pension and insurance arrangements are also competitive.
