Both planned and incidental interruptions will appear in the network schematic, so that the utility’s customer service center will always have the latest network information updates at their hands. In case of outside inquiries from customers who for some reason have not received the message through normal channels (SMS, e-mail, recorded phone message), they can be correctly answered.
The customer service center can in turn post messages related to the interruption back into the system. That may be observations made by customers or by-passers (e.g. transformer fires, storm damage). Such information posted by the customer service center will immediately be available to the operator in the operations center, who can make an assessment and act on it.
