Powel Grid Operation Design is a powerful tool for planning, documentation and prioritization of network improvements. All planned and ongoing projects can be managed. Priority is based on the estimated lifetime cost (lifecycle cost).Functional descriptionPowel Grid Operation Design keeps track of the administrative data for a utility network allowing them to manage and improve the entire design process. The system is data-driven, which means that the project properties, directory structure, and templates can be tailored according to the needs of each network company, depending on how they organize their planning process.The system has a full library of project management support functionality. Current and planned net improvements, alternative plans and alterations can easily be performed by inserting new components directly in the map-based user interface and/or grid schema – as simple as managing an existing network. This reduces the need for training. Each alternative solution is stored in a separate "work space" to ensure that alternative solutions do not interfere with data of the existing networks.
