Powel Grid Operation is a real-time DMS system that runs separately from the rest of the NetBas software, and therefore has to be run inside the companies SCADA environment with 100% availability. Powel Grid Operation software is designed to help operators in the control center to handle outages, both planned and spontaneous, efficiently and give better service to customers. To do this a complete and updated network model that goes all the way to the end-user is taken from the Network Information System. Powel Grid Operation runs in engineering mode (Design) where all updates are read from the Network Information System and in online mode where remote controlled switches and analogue values are coming from the SCADA in real-time. Manually switches can be operated either in the SCADA or directly in the DMS HMI, either way the DMS model is updated. The solution can be configured in different ways to meet the needs and policies of different utilities.
